KAMPALA – The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) officials have on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, briefed Education and Sports minister Janet Museveni about 2019 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) students’ performance.
In a closed-door meeting held at State House, Nakasero in Kampala, UNEB Executive Secretary Dan Odongo together with UNEB chairperson Prof Mary Okwakol briefed ministry officials including First Lady on the performance of students.
The meeting whose details were not released to journalists was also attended by Mr. John Chrysestom Muyingo who is the State Minister for Higher Education, Ms. Rosemary Nansubuga Seninde, who is the State Minister for Primary Education all, charged with political leadership.
Others include Mr. Alex Kakooza, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education among other technocrats.
Mrs. Museveni will then release the UCE results on Friday, January 31 at the Office the President Auditorium
“The Minister for Education and Sports shall release 2019 UCE results on Friday 31st January 2020, 10 am at the President’s Office auditorium,” the statement reads.
This will be the fourth time for Education and Sports Minister and First Lady Janet Museveni to release UCE results ever since she was appointed the political head of the ministry in 2016.
The 2019 UCE were sat by a total of 101,131 candidates from 2,205 centers/schools across the country.
