Kagadi General Hospital in Kagadi town council, Kagadi district has isolated a 15 year old girl from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) suspected to have been attacked by Corona Virus.
According to the Kagadi General hospital Superintendent Officer Dr Isaac Kakibogo, the suspected patient whose names were withheld reported herself at Kagadi Central Police station after she felt general body weakness.
She was on her journey from Democratic Republic of Congo via Ndaiga Sub County to Entebbe International Air Port in search of her employed father.
Kakibogo says they immediately isolated the Suspected Patient since she was displaying the Pandemic Covid-19 signs and symptoms in which they collected blood samples from her and were taken to Uganda Virus Research Institute a waiting for the final results.
He further explained that the suspected Patient informed them that she lost some other relatives and were buried by the DRC government over Corona Virus although it has not yet been confirmed.
However, Dr. Kakibogo decried lack of an improved isolation unit at Kagadi General Hospital saying the suspect has been isolated in one of the Private female Wards at the facility which has created distress among other Patients and Medics.
He further dismissed allegations by the Public that Kagadi district has been hit by the Pandemic calling upon residents to wait for the final blood tests for the official communication.
