Kampala Metropolitan detectives are investigating circumstances under which a Bodaboda rider butchered his wife and their two children on Friday morning.
Deputy Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, said the man identified as Yasin allegedly killed Carol Nambozo before turning to their children.
The suspect who is still at large operates from Kireka Bodaboda stage. He is an adult aged 46 years and was living with the same family he killed at Banda B zone, Nakawa Division in Kampala.
Yasin reportedly stacked the bodies in sacks after the incident. Nevertheless, he abandoned the victims in the house and took off.
“The motive for the murder of his family has not been established yet, but the neighbours allege that the two have been seen fighting a couple of times ,” Owoyesigyire said.
Owoyesigyire added that the scene of crime officers visited the murder scene and collected some exhibits that could be vital in investigations.
Nambozo and her children’s bodies were taken to the city mortuary for a Postmortem. Police teams have since launched a hunt for Him.
The 2019 crime report released recently showed an increase in murders in Kampala Metropolitan area.
