Minister for Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Matia Kasaija has announced that they are following as area leaders for Kibaale district to receive over sh10.3b to work on roads and bridges in the district under the fiscal year 2020/21.
Addressing journalists at the district headquarters soon after the works committee meeting yesterday chaired by the woman MP Kibaale Noeline Basemera and Kibaale technocrats; Kasaija confirms that over sh9.5 billion from the Agricultural fund, over sh434 Million from Uganda road fund and also over sh400 Million from Development grant has already been secured.
Kasaija who is also the MP Buyanja constituency in Kibaale says that the District has also received culverts from the Ministry of Works and that they will help in rehabilitating dilapidated bridges and streams.
Minister Kasaija further assures that he will follow up in the Ministry for the remaining sh400 Million of the sh800 Million on the development grant.
The Works Committee Chairperson who is also the Kibaale Woman MP, Noeline Kisembo Basemera says that over 17 roads and 5 streams have been earmarked to be worked on, in the district under fiscal year 2020/21.
