Farmers have been advised to embrace and observe proper agronomic practices (an improved farming activities) to boost their incomes and for national development.
The remarks were made today afternoon by the KKCRadio Farm Manager Denis Tibaijuka during an exclusive interview with our reporter at URDT Premises in Kagadi town council, Kagadi district.
He says observing proper agronomic practices, such as mulching, proper and timely fertilizer application, could improve crop yields.
Tibaijuka says crops especially Maize Plantations could be destroyed by the limited rains being received in some parts of the country.
Denis appealed to farmers to use this time to grow Vegetables like Cabbages, tomatoes and eggplants which can easily be irrigated.
