In its quest to put the recent staff fallout behind their back, Sanyu FM has announced the fishing of two major presenters including the popular Isaac Katende a.k.a Kasuku.
Kasuku will co- host the evening show alongside Tina Fierce, formerly with Urban Television.
The popular FM station, and Uganda’s oldest has embarked on a kind of a re-launch following the sacking of her entire staff last week following a standoff.
On Wednesday, this website reported that one of the oldest FM stations will have entirely new faces following dispute between the old staff and management over salary cuts in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The staff had laid down their tools in the standoff which made their employment untenable and forced proprietor city tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia to reveal that “new blood” will slot in and fill the void.
In fulfillment of this, the station promptly hired Patrick Idringi a.k.a Salvado to run its breakfast show. Salvador a popular comedian, was beaming literally with a smile on the poster announcing the man from Embokolo as replacing James Onen a.k.a Fat Boy a controversial radio presenter who had been at Sanyu FM for about 21 years.
However, sources reaching this website disclosed that tycoon Sudhir, in a meeting with the sacked employees has agreed to give them second chance, but asked them to reapply for their old positions.
