Newly promoted Kitara FC has emerged with new strategies as a way of involving the fans more.
Kitara FC, the champions of the FUFA Big league playoffs have said fans will design the jerseys for the team ahead of the 2020/2021 Star Times Uganda Premier League.
The club has said fans will participate in the campaign to choose the best design for the newly promoted Bunyoro team with the best design taking an award of 100,000 Uganda shillings.
Francis Mugerwa, the club’s director of media said management will look into the different designs provided by the fans and will pick the best one.
“We are involving our fans in designing our new kit for the new season and they will tell us the new design they would wish to have on our jersey, says Mugerwa.
Nicholas Kajura from Hoima, a fan of Kitara FC says this is another opportunity to help the fans include what they think brings out the true definition of the great Bunyoro Kitara empire.
“It should be in the minds of every Kitara FC fan who is going to participate in this campaign that they must look for the feature that represent Bunyoro Kingdom, that should be in every ones design,” added Kajura.
The Hoima based team is also looking for a new coach after Twinamatsko who helped qualify for the Premier League failed to renew his contract.
Kitara Football Club last month beat Kiboga Young in the final of the Big league playoffs and qualified for the Premier League. They joined MYDA FC and UPDF FC who had already joined the elite league in the normal season.
The Star Times Uganda Premier League is expected to kick-off in December 2020. Vipers SC are the reigning champions.
