Kidnapped Kagadi Man Found Murdered
A 22 -year-old man who went missing from Kagadi town on Tuesday last week has been found dead with his body chopped into pieces.
The deceased was identified as Jacob Tumusiime, a senior six leaver and a resident of Kyakasenene cell in Kagadi town, Kagadi district.
The body parts of Jacob Tumusiime were found dumped in the caves of Kibanga hills in Kagadi town council.
They were discovered on Sunday evening by residents who had gone to collect firewood, who later informed police.
According to Bob Mugabi, the deceased’s relative, told Uganda Radio Network that Tumusiime was kidnapped on Tuesday night as he return home from attending to his bar.
He says the kidnappers had asked for a ransom of over 4m shillings.
Bob Mugabi suspects that Tumusiime was killed by his closest relatives and friends due to unknown reasons.
Stephen Kamar, the Kagadi district police commander says they are still awaiting the postmortem report to ascertain the cause of death.
He says they are following on the available clues to find the murderers.
Kamar however declined to disclose whether they had a lead on the prime suspect.
