Intruder kidnaps mother from Kakindo health center rapes and kills her

Shock has gripped residents of Kakindo town council, Kakumiro district after a man sneaked into Kakindo health center four and kidnapped a mother whom he raped and killed.

The deceased identified as Constance Kyasimiire, 38 a mother of six is a resident of Kiryabukurura village, Kikwaya Sub County, Kakumiro district.

The deceased was attending to her two sick children who were admitted at the health facility on Tuesday.

Christopher Twinamasiko the deceased’s husband says that he got a call today at around 1:00am alerting him that his wife had gone missing on Wednesday at 10:00pm.

He joined the searching team throughout the night and finally found the deceased’s body half-buried in a garden in Kyakachwende cell, Kakindo town council.


Dr Nicholas Tumwesige the in charge, Kakindo health center four narrates that the security at the health center got concerned after noticing that Constance was missing and her children were crying. He immediately alerted police.

The body was retrieved from the grave which was few meters from the home of one suspect identified as Evaristo Kisakye aged 28 years.

He has been arrested.

He was also found with belongs of the deceased including clothes.

According to the postmortem report, the deceased had bruises on the neck and her private parts were bleeding which points to rape. He says the security of the highly frequented health facility is fluid

The Kakumiro District officer in charge of crime investigations department ASP Heloth Karacha confirmed the incident and the arrest of one suspect.

Emmanuel Serrunjogi the area LCI Chairperson wants the incident to be thoroughly investigated and have the suspect punished accordingly.

Robert Irumba the Kakindo town council Chairman has condemned the incident and asked residents to remain calm.
