KAMPALA — Ministry of Education has confirmed that the 2019 UCE results will be released this Friday, the 31st of January 2020.
The results will be released by Education minister Janet Museveni who is the political head of the ministry.
A ministry official said that the results will be released from the Office of the President in Kampala.
KKCR has learnt that there will be a briefing on the performance of students on Wednesday in the presence of Ms. Museveni.
A total of 101,131 candidates from 2,205 centres sat for the examinations.
In the 2017 UCE, Eastern Uganda had the worst-performing districts.
According to UNEB, the districts scored more than double the national mean failure rate, which stood at 8.8 percent.
While a total of 336,740 candidates registered for the examination from 3,658 centres for the 2018 UCE out of whom 169,984 were boys and 166,756 were girls.
