Gafabbusa Doe Kalari the Principal town clerk of Kibaale town council in Kibaale district has been tasked to account for Shs530, 000 or else do the refund in grass period of one Month.
The task was made yesterday during the Public Accounts Committee Meeting (PAC) held at Kibaale district headquarters.
The meeting was chaired by Muhonge Godfrey Kasanga the chairperson for PAC in Kibaale district following an internal auditor’s report for the second quarter claiming the accountability of the missed Shs530, 000.
According to the Auditors report indicates that, Mr. Gafabbusa included an intruder to embezzle the money among the two people himself and the Kibaale town council Mayor Asiimwe Philip that were supposed to attendant a one day workshop titled Alliance for both Mayors of town councils and Municipalities in Uganda that was held between 25th -26th of November last in Moroto district.
According to the PAC Committee chairperson Mr. Godfrey Muhonge Kasanga said that, they have resolved that Mr. Gafabbusa should refund the embezzled money in one month and replaced it on its real account.
