The delayed extension of power to Walire, Nyamigisa and Nyakabungo villages in Ruteete Sub County, has annoyed residents.
Speaking to KKCR yesterday, residents said their areas have remained underdeveloped due to lack of electricity, saying schools, churches and other institutions lack power to offer better services to the people.
They vowed to boycott voting in the next election if government does not respond to their concerns.
In an interview with our reporter, the Kagadi district woman MP Janepher Kyomuhendo Mbabazi asked residents to be patient, adding that the government is committed to extending power to their areas.
Hon. Janepher added that if it was a simple task, she would have worked with the community to respond to the outcry.
