Kagadi residents Resort to Communal Work to Address Road Challenges

Kagadi-Residents in Kagadi Sub County are communally working tooth and nail to address the issues of roads connectivity.

Monday, residents worked on Kakongoro stream which connects Kanyangoma and Kyanyaruhuma villages.

Residents say they are demonstrating to the government the difficulties they pass through like trekking long distances in a quest for services.

They thanked the aspiring Member of Parliament for Buyaga East constituency, Stephen Twesige Rulekere and Kagadi district woman MP Janepher Kyomuhendo Mbabazi for their contribution towards constructing Kakongoro Bridge.

Janepher donated 10 metallic culverts   that were installed yesterday.

Stephen has contributed 500,000 shillings to the communal work.

Omukwenda Muhumuza revealed that opening the road will help them benefit from government programmes as well as ensure easy access to the market for their produces. 

He encouraged voters to support leaders of action in the forthcoming elections.

Owekitiinisa Stephen Twesige Rulekere was represented by Joshwa Karubanga.

Karubanga revealed that Stephen’s participation is a sign of anticipated development.
