Kagadi
A private security guard is in custody at Kagadi central police station in Kagadi town council Kagadi district for shooting his colleague to death.
The Kagadi district police commander, Moses Muzima Kiconco identifies the suspect as Ogwoko from Security group Africa –SGA.
Ogwoko ,27, is accused of shooting his colleague Barbra Kiiza,28, from the same security firm.
Kiiza is a resident of Kiryaba Bugambe Sub County in Kikuube district.
Muzima says that Ogwoko opened fire around 2:30pm on Sunday at Stanbic Bank-Kagadi branch in Kagadi town.
He says police officers from Kagadi central police station responded to the gunshots, and intercepted the suspect before he flee the scene.
Muzima says It is still unclear why Ogwoko decided to open fire at his colleague.
Unconfirmed reports from the eyewitnesses indicated that Ogwoko accused his colleague of reporting late at work.
The deceased’s body is lying at the Kagadi general hospital mortuary pending postmortem.
