Over 15,000 residents in five villages of Nyabutanzi in fear of eviction

Over 15,000 residents of Kasoga lc1, Kimanya A, B, and C in Nyabutanzi Sub County and Kibooga lc1 in Pacwa Sub County, Kagadi district are in fear of remaining homeless after threats of eviction by suspected Land grabbers.

This came after Namatovu Annet and John Rwanga both residents of Mityana exited the villages with alleged Land tittle documents allowing them to re-open the Land boundaries.

After the discovery Residents invited among others the Kagadi RDC and the area MP Yesterday to their area to up stretch their concern to them for help.

The meeting was held at Kigoma primary school in Nyabutanzi Sub County.

According to both Kimanya Village lc1 Chairperson Omuhereza Benderana and Baryesima Joseph for Kasoga lc1, they received documents on Monday this week  from Namatovu Annet and John Rwanga informing residents to sort themselves for the reopening of the Land boundaries.

In response the Kagadi Resident district commissioner (DPC) Ruteraho Lillian, Promised to handle the matter with other concerned lands offices in and outside the district.

Meanwhile, The Buyaga East Member of Parliament Musana Eric Acaali expressed his concern over the issue and also promised to take charge especially to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni within this week.
