The Synod is the highest decision making organ in the diocese. According to Bishop Kahuma, there was nothing wrong with the planned break away, but asked the leadership of the proposed diocese to establish key requirements for the creation of a diocese within a year’s time.

The requirements include an administrative block, residence for the clergy and a fully furnished church that will serve as the diocesan headquarters. Addressing Christians during Easter prayers at St. Luke’s Church of Uganda in Kagadi town, Canon Reverend Teo Irumba, the Archdeacon of Kagadi Archdeaconry, said that they have now embarked on the process to ensure that all requirements are in place.
